Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ftyping.com (the "Site") operated by Williamson Consulting Services. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
Description of the service
F Typing is a web-based typing education application that teaches touch typing through story-driven, fill-in-the-blank practice. The demo and prototype are provided free of charge during the current development phase.
Permitted use
You may use the Site for lawful, personal, and educational purposes. You agree not to misuse the Site, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, scrape it in violation of robots.txt or applicable law, or use it to transmit malware or unlawful content.
User-provided feedback
The Site includes optional forms, such as the debrief form at the end of a demo session and the bug report form, through which you may voluntarily submit feedback, suggestions, bug reports, ideas, or other information ("Feedback"). By submitting Feedback with the consent checkbox checked, you agree that:
- Your Feedback may be used to improve the product and shared with the team.
- You provide Feedback freely and without expectation of compensation, credit, or confidential treatment.
- Williamson Consulting Services may use, modify, incorporate, or redistribute your Feedback for any purpose without restriction or obligation to you.
- We read every report but may not be able to respond individually.
You may decline consent, in which case your responses will not be saved.
Cookies and storage
The Site uses Essential storage (your consent choice and debrief form state, stored in localStorage) and, with your permission, Umami analytics, a privacy-focused, cookieless tool that collects no personal data. You choose to accept or decline analytics when the consent banner appears. We do not use marketing measurement tools, tracking pixels, or advertising cookies. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
The Site and its content, including text, graphics, story content, character names, logos, layout, and design, are owned by Williamson Consulting Services or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and use the Site for personal, non-commercial, and educational purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.
Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites or services (such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Discord, Substack, Facebook, or Google Fonts). We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party services is subject to their terms.
Disclaimer of warranties
THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WILLIAMSON CONSULTING SERVICES AND ITS OWNER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Williamson Consulting Services from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Exclusive venue for disputes relating to these Terms or the Site shall be state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
Children's privacy
F Typing is designed for use by learners of all ages, including children under 13 with parental supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental consent. The debrief form does not require personal information to use the typing experience. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Changes
We may modify these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on the Site. The effective date will be updated to match. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
