Yes. Touch typing is a motor skill, and there is no childhood window for it. The method works because it builds a mental model first. Once you know why each key is where it is, practice actually sticks. Adults are especially good at that first step.

Most typing apps are drill-first: type the same letters over and over until muscle memory forms. That works for some people, but if you've already bounced off three of them, the problem isn't willpower. F Typing teaches each key through a character and a story, so your brain builds an association instead of grinding repetition. You learn A because Alice is there, not because you typed "aaa" fifty times.

Yes. F Typing works on desktop keyboards and mobile touch screens. The story and method are the same either way.

Maybe. Try this: which finger do you use for Q? If you're not sure, or if it's your ring finger instead of your pinky, you taught yourself a system that works but isn't the standard one. F Typing can show you the difference without judging what you already do.

Voice dictation is fast for drafting, but it falls apart for editing, code, formatting, open-plan offices, and anything private. Typing is shifting from the primary input to the primary editing interface, a smaller role that is not going away.

Speed isn't the point. The gap between trained and self-taught typists is only about 10 per cent. The real gain is cognitive: once finding keys stops occupying your working memory, that capacity is freed for thinking and writing. Your hands get out of the way of your head.

The demo is free and works in a browser with no accounts or installs. Learners can each open it on their own device. Each lesson runs at the learner's own pace from start to finish. There is no admin dashboard or group management yet.

Those are drill-first platforms. F Typing is story-first and designed for adults who find drill-based apps boring or childish. If your learners are in that group, this might reach them where the others didn't.

We're building toward a pay-what-you-can model, similar to other indie games. Once more chapters are ready, you'll be able to chip in what feels right. There will always be a free path. No one gets locked out of learning.
